When starting kfontview, either from systemsettings or on the command
line:
kfontview /usr/share/fonts/truetype/msttcorefonts/andalemo.ttf
The kfontview popup window appears but does NOT display any characters.
Changing the test text or from standard View to All Characters doesn't
matter. No error messages appear on the console.
Expected behaviour: Display characters in the selected font.
Reported to KDE as Bug 170435.
I believe it has to do with the nVidia driver. If I remove envyNG,
reboot and manually select the drive, kfontview correctly displays the
fonts. however, I cannot use GL apps.
