I had to uninstall the latest backports-modules because the new iwl3945-driver (wireless) included is just too buggy, breaks radio kill switch, breaks hibernate, causes weird interrupts errors, and so on.. At least on my hardware. Went back to the older one included with the standard kernel, and it really works fine, so there is no reason for me to install backports (guess I'm lucky) ..
