I too have experienced this bug.  It occurs with the version of Xine
included in Ubuntu 8.10 repository.

I would also like to add some detail about the behavior of this bug.

I have noticed that when "F" is pressed to switch to full screen, the
GUI automatically disappears (as if G had also been pressed).  It is a
frustrating behavior.

I wondered if it was intentional behavior.  If so, can we have a check
box in the configurator to switch between this behavior and the earlier
behavior of full screen mode where the GUI remained if it was on and
pressing the "G" key summons the GUI.
