Public bug reported:

When a complex svg with many vectors (like the koch curve with seven
iterations
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/5d/Koch_curve.svg which
has 4^7=16384 lines ) is left in a folder that's being viewed by a file
manager (dolphin in my case) or is left in the desktop a "kio_thumbnail"
process takes up all the available memory and stays indefinitely like
that.

It has also manifested itself with less complex svg files (Koch curve of
6 or 5 iterations or other "fractal" SVGs). I'm guessing this and the
bug about the thumbnail not being scaled but a cut-up version are
somehow related. Could it be fixed by making it more like the image
preview function of firefox (which did not crash when I attached the
file to this bug report).

** Affects: meta-kde (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
