Public bug reported:
I rebooted my computer a couple of times tonight and each time I was
having problems with pidgin. I've never seen this problem before. It
would start to log into gtalk/xmpp and each time it would freeze. I
finally started purple up under gdb and found the following message:
ERROR: Couldn't attach to DCOP server!
DCOPClient::attachInternal. Attach failed Could not open network socket
DCOPClient::attachInternal. Attach failed Could not open network socket
When I run pidgin.dbg under strace I get the following message. I'm a little
confused because I see all these calls to open a library for libaudacious. I
do not have this library on my system at all.
open("/lib/tls/i686/cmov/libaudacious.so.3", O_RDONLY) = -1 ENOENT (No such
file or directory)
