I'm sure this is a .gvfs issue.

smbclient:
  Installed: 2:3.2.3-1ubuntu3
  Candidate: 2:3.2.3-1ubuntu3
  Version table:

gvfs:

Choosing Places -> Network -> Windows Network. Double click on a server.
No shares are listed and AD shows the account as being locked.

However, Choosing -> Places -> Connect to server. I can put in the
details of the server/share I want to connect and it happens
successfully.
