Just wanted to let everyone know that I have figured this problem out... I hope.
I reinstalled intrepid a few hours ago, and sure enough, the cursor was doing its sticky problem. I unplugged my Saitek Rumble Force pad and I have not seen the cursor stick, twitch, or anything along those lines. Strange, does the joystick have any effect on the mouse? I know in windows you can somehow control the mouse pointer with a joystick. Anyways, everything is good.
