Public bug reported:
I installed Intrepid with apt-get dist-upgrade. After rebooting there is
no network available. In kde I have to tell network-manager to set up my
networking. In awesome wm I had to edit /etc/network/interfaces and add
an iface line.
I was running kubuntu 8.04 and did an upgrade from the console with apt-
get. My network interface was eth0, a built-in ethernet card on my
laptop.
