No, everything works beautifully now. I tried a beta .iso and it is working better than ever, this is the first ubuntu release that enables compiz with my x1250 igp. However I also think that the original problem was with my monitor not reporting its maximum resolution and refresh rate (it was a VERY old monitor). I don't have the monitor any more so I won't be able to test with that monitor, and I am getting a brand new motherboard and graphics card tomorrow, so I wont be able to test with my X1250 either. However, I am sure the problem is fixed and it will be all good for release day. Happy Ubuntuing!
