Hi Bryce, To be honest, I thought this would be an easy one to solve. I came across this issue when documenting the licenses for all the packages in Ubuntu Netbook Remix. I was merely alerting the maintainer of this component that they should have a proper copyright file identifying the license(s) for the components contained in this package. If they choose to not add that file, that is their prerogative. I think it should be done for good practice, and in some cases it may be a legal requirement to identify the license. In the end, IANAL.
