Public bug reported:
i have downloaded the intrepid ibex release candidate amd64 cd image and
burned to a cd-r.
it freezes at boot, showing only a cursor and blank screen. removing the
quiet and splash options shows that the last messages are about
registering io schedulers. then it hangs with a blinking cursor.
the machine is a core 2 duo on an asus motherboard and i'll be glad to
provide more information.
