Public bug reported:
Hi all,
I am new to linux (and bug reporting) this so please accept my apologies
if I have missed the mark as far as a bug is concerned. I have read
through Bug #95277 and my issue seems to be different. I could not get
my device to be recognised until I changed the product id. I now
receive a message that the device has been recognised by dvb-usb, but
then a number of other messages (relating to usb-hid) appear that seem
to indicate that the device has been loaded as a keyboard:
dvb-usb: found a 'ASUS My Cinema U3000 Mini DVBT Tuner' in cold state, will try
to load a firmware
/build/buildd/linux-2.6.24/drivers/hid/usbhid/hid-core.c: timeout initializing
reports
input: ASUS U3000 as
/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:03.3/usb4/4-6/4-6:1.1/input/input10
input,hiddev96,hidraw0: USB HID v1.11 Keyboard [ASUS U3000 ] on
usb-0000:00:03.3-6
I am using Ubuntu 8.04, and the correct firmware files are in
/lib/firmware
uname -r
2.6.24-19-generic
although I also have 2.6.24-21-generic installed (as I said I am new to
linux so I am not sure how this affects anything).
