Public bug reported:
I'm using Intrepid Ibex 8.10 RC.
During shutdown/Restart the splash screen freezes during the middle of
shutdown. After a minute, it goes to a blank screen but doesn't shut
down. I must do a hard shutoff to turn off the computer. No text or
error messages are given during this freeze. This has been reproduced
on two computers that I have.
