I have the same problem using the amd64 8.10 release candidate. I use an external spam filter that simply adds a header. I then set a filter under the spam tab in evolution to tag and move these email messages. I turn off spam checking by unchecking the "check incoming email for spam checkbox, but leave on the Check Custom Headers. The custom headers works.
I notice that the error only occurs at startup when email has built up on my IMAP server. After the initial re-sync, I recieve no errors about spam checking. It is as though the initialization code does not check for the disabled option and that it does not correctly connect to the BogoFilter plugin. Evolution does report that the plugin is available and the binary installed. -- Pipe to SpamAssassin failed, error code: 1 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/281807 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
