I ran the script twice.

-Before plugging out my external speakers and plugging them back in again (I 
used headphones, in case it makes any difference):

Please let me know if you need any additional info, as I'm going to send
the laptop back to the manufacturer for repairs in a few days (the hdd
is malfunctioning), which means I won't be able to do any additional
tests until I get it back again.
