I have a Conexant Audio on ATI IXP on a HP Pavillion zv6000. I started up the 8.10RC Live CD and tested out sound recording.
Problem 1: Every real second of recording resulted in approximately 30 seconds (definitely not a whole minute though) of recorded audio. In about a minute, I had a 22 minute audio file. Problem 2: I did File->New to create a new recording project. It then created a new window with the title <Untitled - 4> while the previous window had been simply <Untitled>. The default file listed on the bottom was now Untitled (3) whilst the previous was just Untitled. I am not sure where it got '4' or '3' from, let alone how it was getting different numbers on default for the same project. Just default numbers, a minor bug, but still. Problem 3: I decided to record again. This time it only got up to 3 minutes and 30 seconds (actually about 6 real seconds) before seemingly pausing itself and killing the gnome panels. Now I just had a bare desktop wallpaper with the recording app above it. A few seconds later, the entire system froze and I couldn't move my mouse or reboot X (Ctrl+Alt+Backspace). -- recording not working properly https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/288252 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
