Public bug reported:

The resolution of the usplash at boot is wrong on my Toshiba Satellite
P200-1E9. By default, the resolution is set to 640 x 480, but it should
be 1440 x 900.

It's easy to fix the problem. Simply edit "/etc/usplash.conf" and include the
following parameters:
xres=1440
yres=900

After that, run "sudo update-usplash-theme usplash-theme-ubuntu" in a
terminal window.

It would be fine to implement the parameters listed above by default to
get a right screen resolution.
