I had the same problem with Gaim and never found a discussion about it that
came to any conclusion.
First I had the same problem as the guy above, that the block unsets. I noticed
that the block mode changes automagicly between mode='3' and mode='4' (from
blist.xml, explanation below). Still receiving messages from blocked users. So
I blocked the same user in both modes so that I can't possibly receive any
messages from him, but I still do just as if the user wasn't blocked at all. I
don't receive any spam, so some sort of block still works, cause if I remove
all blocks (setting to allow all or something) i get spam, or if i set to
(block users below) I get spam which is logical. Maybe I still get messages
because the user I blocked is still in my contact list? But what if I'd like to
keep him in my contactlist, not blocking him permanently, that option MUST be
possible.
