I've somewhat narrowed down the problem. It only happens when the tv is discovered as "HDMI-1". When that's the case the screen gets split. Then I usually do a (couple of) reboot and hope that it gets discovered as "TMDS-1" instead, because then it always connect correct!
I don't know the underlying reason for this and what causes it to be "HDMI-1" or "TMDS-1", nor the difference between them, but apparently there is some!
