Hi, About the "connection refused" problem : - is there anything in the log file /var/log/deejayd.log ? - what does the [net] section of your configuration file say?
About the "deejayd unstable mostly" which may be related with firefox-3.0 : - version 0.7.2-2 in Debian has got some webui fixes for firefox-3.0 - if deejayd crashes, then the contents of the logfile would be interesting. - if firefox crashes, then it shouldn't and it is a bug on firefox.
