Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: kdelibs4c2a

Details:
Kubuntu Edgy
kdelibs4c2a 3.5.5-0ubuntu3
cupsys 1.2.4-2ubuntu3

Printing to anything but the built-in "Print to File (PostScript)"
printer results in an error starting with:

"A print error occurred. Error message received from system:

Unable to start child print process. Check the command syntax:"

It continues with:

gs -q -dSAFER -dPARANOIDSAFER -dNOPAUSE -dBATCH -sDEVICE=pdfwrite
-sOutputFile=$out{/home/amaces/print.pdf} -sPAPERSIZE=letter -c
.setpdfwrite -f %in

for the PDF printer, or:

cupsdoprint -P 'PDF' -J
'http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=...art+child+print+process%22&btnG=Search'
-H '/var/run/cups/cups.sock:631' -U 'amaces' -o ' copies=1 multiple-
document-handling=separate-documents-collated-copies orientation-
requested=3'

for any CUPS printer. I verified that the CUPS system is working
properly, and have no problem with other interfaces (lpr, OpenOffice,
etc.)

Cheers,
Andrei
