Public bug reported:
US Robotics PCI wireless ethernet card (Atheros AR2413 chipset) shows
wireless networks in the surrounding area when the network icon is
clicked, but gets disconnected after "Requesting a network address from
the wireless network "ESSID HERE"" when a network is selected (Open
network / No encryption).
After changing IPv4 Settings from Automatic(DHCP) to Manual and adding a
static IP address, it shows "Connection Established" but there is no
internet connectivity.
This happened on Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Ibex Release Candidate
(desktop-i386).
Another computer(laptop) having an intel wireless adapter successfully
connects to the same network as above with Automatic(DHCP), on Ubuntu
8.10 Intrepid Ibex Release Candidate (desktop-i386) and is able to get
internet access.
