Well, killing pulseaudio for me makes the difference between almost no sound and poor sound. I run my program using pasuspender, which should give the same result. pasuspender env WINEPREFIX="/home/susan/.wine" wine "C:\Program Files\Nuance\NaturallySpeaking10\Program\natspeak.exe"
