Public bug reported: Whenever I open a cp1250-encoded text file by double-click in Nautilus, Gedit opens it with wrong encoding. I must open the file by Gedit's open dialog - only then I can choose the encoding. I see no way to open a cp1250-encoded text file from Nautilus in correct encoding.
There are two problems: 1) encoding autodetection fails on cp1250 2) User cannot select encoding when opening file from Nautilus Solving any of these two problems helps. Note: this problem is not related to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gedit/+bug/271705 because it is not bound for files inside archives or remote files, but also for any local files... ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Gedit encoding autodetection fails on all cp1250 files https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/289939 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
