I had the following options in my xorg.conf:

Option "UseEvents" "false"

After upgrade to kubuntu Intrepid amd64 (so, to nvidia-glx-177), I get a
very unstable X. It hangs up almost every 2 minutes. I commented the
options above and now everything is working ok.
I think the installer should comment automatically these kind of options
at xorg.conf.
