Public bug reported:

this reports new issues with the Broadcom wireless driver as suggested
by Martin Pitt; see previous report here:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-restricted-
modules/+bug/263097

Using Intrepid with Ubuntu desktop on acer Extensa 5220, uname -a: Linux
cy810 2.6.27-7-generic #1 SMP Fri Oct 24 06:42:44 UTC 2008 i686
GNU/Linux

B43 with wl driver finally worked on my system. after activating the Broadcom
STA wireless driver, it still works well and performance does seem to have
improved. However, I no longer see the "wl" driver, and I am not being offered
the option of activating the previous B43 driver.
Attached is a screenshot of the hardware-driver /usr/bin/jockey-gtk

** Affects: linux-restricted-modules (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
