I'm afraid I don't quite understand what's missing for that:
$ sudo locale-gen [EMAIL PROTECTED] uz_UZ
$ LANG=uz_UZ date
28 Oktyabr, 2008 yil, Seshanba
$ [EMAIL PROTECTED] date
28 Октябрь, 2008 йил, Сешанба
So this seems to work fine already?
