I have this problem too with a built-in wireless card. I'm not using network-manager. My laptop is a Dell 6400 with an Intel wireless card:
0b:00.0 Network controller: Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection (rev 02) Often the wireless network doesn't come back up when waking from suspend to RAM. This usually fixes the problem: $ /etc/init.d/networking restart I'll attach the tail end of dmesg. ** Attachment added: "Output of dmesg" http://librarian.launchpad.net/5106942/dmesg.txt -- Wireless (ipw2200) does not work after waking up from sleep(without manually switching on). https://launchpad.net/bugs/53310 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
