  Workaround:

Enable onboard networking, run # dhclient wlan0, default wireless
connection found and connects on both the onboard and USB connections.

Impact: If something goes wrong with onboard wireless networking, will not be
able to use USB. Concern of possible network issues. Redundant to have to use
onboard and USB connections. Receives better wireless connection via USB than
with onboard.
With Hardy, I was able to leave the onboard wireless OFF, plug in the
Wireless USB adapter, the connection would pick up and connect automatically.
Now with Ibex I have to enable the onboard wireless before the USB wireless
will work.

+ Update Oct 28, 2008:
+
+ I believe I have isolated the issue to the network manager applet. The
+ previous version I was using was nm-applet.0.6.6 and this has been
+ updated to network-manager applet 0.7.0. Reverting to previous version
+ will probably fix issue, still need to verify.
+
+ At this point, I don't know whether this bug should be closed, and/or
+ sent to the team that works on the network-manager applet, or something
+ else.
