Short answer is no.
Unfortunately the computer on which I was using Ubuntu with the AR511
wireless card has broken, so I won't be doing any more testing on it.
The hardware may have been responsible though since the motherboard in
which the card was integrated no longer functions. Sorry that I can not
be of any further help.
