Ubuntu 6.06.1 i386, 6.10 i386, hp2xx (3.4.4)
I run hp2xx in pipe mode and I finish with core dump when picture is
closed with "any key"
$ cat file.plt | hp2xx -
....

Press any key to end graphics mode

You can use this script to get sample HP-GL file or run script output
directly to hp2xx
