I've same issue: Asus Aspire 5520 laptop hangs right after pairing and keyboard light blinks.
I'm running 8.04.1 AMD64 and I've system updated to latest. This happens with a Silicon Wave USB bluetotth adapter (I think it has a Broadcom 2035 chipset, not sure).
