** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: update-manager

  Environment description:
Client1: Ubuntu 8.10 beta, Firefox 3.03 shipped with Ubuntu
  Client2: Virtualbox 2.04(Running in Client1), Windows XP SP3, IE7, Firefox
3.03 for Windows

Client3: Windows XP SP3 Standalone, IE6, Firefox 3.03 for Windows

Server RedHat AS 5, Tomcat 5.5.25

I have a web application running on the Redhat AS 5 server, when I use
Client3(the standalone winxp host with IE or Firefox) to access the
  webapp, everything is fine.

When I use Client1(Ubuntu 8.10 beta plus Firefox) to access the webapp, the
server log says:
  Caused by: java.net.SocketException: Broken pipe
At this time, I thought it was the problem of the browser. Then I tried
Client2, which is a virtual machine running Winxp, the VM is running in
Client1, then I tried IE7, Firefox3.03 the access the webapp, the server log
again said:
  Caused by: java.net.SocketException: Broken pipe

When I switch to Client3, the Windows host, everything goes fine again.

So I thought it might be the problem of TCP/IP of the Ubuntu.
+
+ The other thing I found is:
+ When I access pages without ajax, then very thing is fine. This problem
occurs only on those pages which use ajax.
