>From this update, NetworkManager will keep on roaming from one WAP to
another, causing me to re-connect every two minutes. (two minutes
exactly)
In the office there are multiple WAPs working together to cover the
necessary floorspace, and I can connect to multiple WAPs with different
signal strengths. Every few minutes, it roams to a different one.
Earlier versions (0.7~~svn20081008t224042-0ubuntu3~nm1~hardy2) of
NetworkManager didn't do this. Downgrading fixes the problem.
This causes a problem, because a re-connect causes re-authentication
(WPA, EAP, TTLS) so the connection breaks for 10 seconds every two
minutes.
I dunno if it's fixed in Ubuntu 8.10. Will find out in a few days.
I keep seeing:

then authentication, and then
NetworkManager: <debug> [1225262423.933930] periodic_update(): Roamed
from BSSID 00:1C:10:6C:60:40 (xxxxx) to 00:1D:7E:0A:A5:F0 (xxxxx)
I dunno what causes "7 -> 3". It seems cron-ed to every two minutes,
but now and then it skips.
