I have tried this to no avail, rather than use your time, I will wait the couple days until 8.10 is released and download it. I have all my files backed-up so I will not lose any data by running a new install. Besides, I want to learn how to partition my home file for future use. Thanks for the help, this reinforces by belief that the linux community is great, and I will continue to try to spread the use of Ubuntu.
