It is indeed a duplicate of bug #55159, which I didn't find before I
filed this bug.
Steps to reproduce:
1) Start computer with encrypted partition
2) On bootsplash promt, enter the password
3) Switch to console (Ctrl + Alt + F1), it's either there or on tty7 (Ctrl +
Alt + F7) or tty8 (Ctrl + Alt + F8)
Result: you see the entered password

usplash prevents passwords from being not echoed on the console
