I don't think it is related to bug 221119, since it is on a 945GM chipset and you have a 845G. You can check out the other bugs that are tagged for 845G at https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver- xorg-video-intel/+bugs?field.tag=845g . They have similar symptoms as you have, especially bug 284461.
When have you copied the Xorg.0.log you have uploaded? Is it from before X freezes? To catch any error messages that occurs just before the freeze, we would need Xorg.0.log from that session. When you reboot the computer and gdm starts again this is renamed to Xorg.0.log.old when the new file is created.
