I upgraded to Intrepid Ibex prerelease and have no sound with my
CM8738. Maybe this bug is still present.
`lspci -v` does mention:
00:0c.0 Multimedia audio controller: C-Media Electronics Inc CM8738 (rev 10)
Subsystem: C-Media Electronics Inc CM8738
Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 32, IRQ 5
I/O ports at d400 [size=256]
Capabilities: <access denied>
$ aplay -l
aplay: device_list:215: no soundcards found...
Apparently the ALSA module for CM8738 is snd-cmipci but I'm not seeing
any snd-cmipci files in my system.
