Last news (30.10.2008 - 18:56): New update proposed by Ubuntu. It included kernel security updates (kernel, kernel header...), but still in version 2.6.24-21-generic (?) I thought is was a patched kernel with the same labelled version (I do not know if it is possible).
Anyway, nothing changed. With the 2.6.24-21-generic, I got a kernel panic during the boot process when dealing with the wifi piece of hardware. I came back to the stable 2.6.24-19-generic and everything went fine. Issue is still open. And I still need to update my madwifi driver just to check if it solves the problem. Hope it will help kernel developers.
