Public bug reported:
Ive just upgraded from Hardy to Intrepid, using the alternate CD locally
mounted, and running /cdrom/cdromupgrade.
The upgrade appeared to complete successfully, however, when the system
rebooted, it fails to boot.
I think it is related to what ever happens just bef ore /scripts/init-
bottom, where I see in the output
mount: mounting /dev/mapper/vgroot-lvub.root on /root failed: No such
device
If I try to mount it manuall at the initramfs prompt, I get "Invalid
argument"
Manually running /sbin/lvm vgscan, shows my volume group.
(I've booted into a redhat partition on the same machine and I can successfully
mount the lvm root.)
I have no idea what to try next - appreciate some help...
