Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: linux-source-2.6.17
This is a kernel bug that has to do with allocation of dedicated memory of the
Radeon Xpress 200M. When booting i get the following message:
[17179574.040000] PCI: Cannot allocate resource region 7 of bridge 0000:00:04.0
[17179574.040000] PCI: Cannot allocate resource region 8 of bridge 0000:00:04.0
I have included both my dmesg and lspci output. As you can see from my
lspci output PCI bridge 0000:00:04.0 is my ATI Radeon Xpress 200M. I
suspect that region 7 and 8 are the dedicated memory because i can not
run my video card using the dedicated memory; i have to share my RAM.
The problem is that my dedicated memory can not be allocated therefore
used.
