When I do "cat /proc/asound/cards" I get the following:
0 [Audigy2 ]: Audigy2 - Audigy 2 ZS [SB0350]
Audigy 2 ZS [SB0350] (rev.4, serial:0x20021102) at
0xac00, irq 17
1 [NVidia ]: HDA-Intel - HDA NVidia
HDA NVidia at 0xfe024000 irq 21
The Audigy 2 is what I want to use obviously and thats where all the
problems lie in Ubuntu 8.10. With 8.04 I just set everything to ALSA
and everything worked fine. Now if I set it to ALSA there is no sound
in anything, so I manually set it to that card and sound works but won't
work in two apps at once. For example when Rhythmbox is playing I get
no sound in Pidgin. And of course NO SOUND in flash 10.
With Ubuntu 8.04 everything worked perfectly with just "ALSA" set.
And finally here my information that was asked from the "Reporting Sound Bugs"
link:
