Public bug reported:

Please note 2.6.24 kernel boots normally and all is good. (That is how I
am able to report this)

The 2.6.27 kernel fails to find the root partician.

What is more surprising when dropped into the shell I can mount -t ext3
/dev/sda2 /root/temp. That is how I was able to keep the reports from
the debug in grub.

I will attach the debug reports, also my fstab and boot menu to show
both kernels use the same uuid. The 2.6.24 finds the uuid of the root
partician the 2.6.27 does not.

Good Kernel uname -a: Linux SG 2.6.24-21-generic #1 SMP Tue Oct 21
23:09:30 UTC 2008 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Thanks in advance

Regards,

Ashley
