I second this bug. Everytime I install Ubuntu/Kubuntu on LVM I have to use alternate CD. :-( This makes at least two 700 MB images I have to download on each Ubuntu release (desktop & alternate, double that if I choose to download both Ubuntu & Kubuntu).
