Thanks for following up. Re-reading the report it sounds like there are two separate bugs here.
The first one is the dolphin crash. If it occured when moving and deleting files then you should be able to reproduce it by just moving some files between folders or deleting something (something non-critical obviously :) ). Do you remember whether it was moving or deleting that caused the crash. Not sure if it matters but it might. Losing you mouse cursor after an application crashes is a separate bug. It sounds like the application is taking down the X server. This is potentially more serious than the original bug. Since you said it happens with dolphin, firefox and wine it obviously isn't limited to KDE applications. It could be a bug in the desktop layer or it could be a bug in X itself. If it happens again check the contents of /var/log/Xorg.0.log and attach it to this report. -- dolphin crashed with SIGSEGV in QByteArray::operator=() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/288630 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
