This is not a duplicate!
The usb id is different, thus gspca ought to have been amended for that usb id.
Web cam support is by Usb Id.

It plainly does not work in 8.10.
The link talks about a labtec camera, may well be same chipset, differing usb
id. From what I understand requires a the id being added in the header for it
to be working. The dupe post talks of tests against a different web cam.
This web cam works under fedora 9 fine. So it is doable. I am no expert on
ubuntu, else i would have downloaded the drivers and compiled them myself.
