Public bug reported:
I have been using intrepid on my desktop for quite a while. Since alpha
4, I believe. I haven't had a problem with my network adapter in this
time. Last Saturday, I ran some updates. I boot up this machine, until
today, since installing these updates. But now the network adapter is
not working at all, in Ubuntu.
I grabbed the final release intrepid cd and upgraded to that point. The
problem still occurs. Even networkmanager isn't showing any icon,
because there are no network adapters detected.
I have tried disabling and enabling the sky2 module. I have tried ifdown
eth0 and ifup eth0, as suggested on another bug (#138611), but it seems
to be a different issue, as that doesn't fix it.
