Frédéric, is this while booting the Desktop CD? I am not sure I
understand at which point the screen goes black. Is it just after the CD
boot menu (what you see on this page:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingCasper)? Please try to remove the
"splash" boot option as shown on that page.
Or is it after you choose language in the Ubiquity installer
