I have a dv9000 and I have the same problem. It is a strange issue
though. The boot will hang unless I hold down a key on the keyboard
until it gets to the point of running init scripts. If I boot with
noacpi then it boots normally, unfortunately then I can't see my battery
state. I haven't tried it with the irqpoll pci=noacpi options though.
