Selected option to upgrade from 5.10 to 6.06.
Files downloaded and instalation began.
Received the following message:
Could not install 1/var/cache/apt/archives/memtest 86+_1.65-1_i386.deb
The update aborts now.
Please report this bug.

I acknowledged the message and the installation process continued for
several minutes, then a second message appeared as follows:
Could not install the upgrades
The upgrade aborts now. Your system can be in an unusable state. A recovery
was run (dpkg-continue-a).
installArchives()failed
When this message was cleared the upgrade stopped, returning me to the desktop.
Shutdown appeared normal
On restart, a large number of error messages displayed, then I was left at the
command line in root.
